And/or support the design of new components/equipmentDesign Codes - Knowledge of local piping design codes and standardsCommercial Principles - Understanding of contract types and of their main features (basics, purchasing and selling conditions, partnerships, claims, logistic aspects etc) including international contractsTechnical Documentation - Ability to create, understand and communicate technical specificationsPlant Layout development - Ability to layout the plant in a functional, safety, cost-effective wayEquipment Fundamentals - Knowledge and understanding of basic information regarding equipment and components used in process plantsMaterials Fundamentals - Knowledge and understanding of basic information regarding materials and their properties used in engineering and manufacturing activitiesMaterials Knowledge of piping materials, fittings, special piping items and valvesConstruction & Commissioning - Understanding of on-site construction work such as testing and commissioning of the piping systemsCost Estimation - Understand cost of design (including cost of deliverables generation) and ability to estimate costs related to a project or specific activityBasic IT Tools - Knowledge of the use of Software to generate discipline deliverables.Procurement - Understand of project cost control, budgeting, procurement, purchase-to-pay and supply chain managementEngineering Calculations -Knowledge of engineering calculation techniques such as the fundamentals of stress calculations, wall thickness calculations support requirements and material selectionInnovation & Adaptability -The ability to adapt to different environments (team, technologies, countries etc.)

Engineering safety reqs, Audit regulations, Insurance laws etc.)
and knowledge of standard specifications (eg.
Plant layout requirements etc.)
