Php Team Lead

Are you an experienced PHP Developer with strong leadership skills and a passion for mentoring others?
Were looking for a PHP Team Lead Developer to join our clients Cape Town-based team and drive the development of innovative, high-performing web applications.
This is a key leadership role where youll guide a team of developers, architect technical solutions, and ensure high standards in code quality, performance, and delivery.
Duties: Lead and mentor a team of PHP developers in an agile environment Architect and develop scalable web applications using modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.)
Oversee code reviews, development practices, and system architecture decisions Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet business goals Ensure timely delivery of high-quality code and manage development workflows Skills: 5 years of experience in PHP development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Strong expertise in Laravel, Symfony, or similar modern PHP frameworks Solid understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, and MVC design patterns Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes Excellent communication and team leadership skills Nice to Have: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
