Role Description We are seeking an experienced Performance Tester, to join a team providing a Performance Testing capability to the end client, delivering these services to satisfy the requirements of the client's applications portfolio.
This role is required as there is a large programme of work establishing the platforms, and moving 120 applications, from our Clients Datacentres onto a target Cloud.
Proven experience of performance testing in the cloud is required.
The Test Tool used is Microfocus LoadRunner and expertise in this is essential.
Knowledge of other Cloud focused Performance Test tools, e.g.
JMeter, would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and document Performance Test Plans that are appropriate for an individual project/change.
Undertake test preparation activities, developing the Test Scripts within Microfocus LoadRunner, identifying and setting up test data that are appropriate for an individual project/change.
Execute the Tests, identifying and capturing any defects.
Produce a Performance Test report to detail the findings/outcomes of the Performance Tests.
Liaise with various key project personnel to get an adequate understanding about the project scope and testing requirements.
Liaise with various technical SMEs & Project Technical Architect/s to review the test results.
Provide regular progress reporting to the Team Manager.
Work with the Test and Integration team, Project Manager/s, Application Support team, client stakeholders, third parties and with other project stream leaders across the project lifecycle.
Provide input into the overall project Test Completion report.
Support the Non-Functional Test Manager to manage the testing repository on SharePoint/teamrooms containing electronic copies of various test deliverables viz.
Test Plans, Test Results, Defect Log, progress reports, etc.
Mandatory Skills: Expert in Microfocus LoadRunner.
Experience of using Microfocus ALM.
Proven delivery experience of performance test preparation through to test asset development, execution, analysis and reporting.
Ability to Plan and Organise.
Analytical and Methodical approach to tasks.
Attention to detail.
Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Understanding of processes and systems.
Able to work independently with clients and colleagues.
ISEB ISTQB Foundation certification in Testing.
Microfocus test tool certification.
