Minimum requirements for the role:
The company is happy to consider an Industrial Engineering graduate who has not had any work experience for the role.
Previous experience having worked within an industrial engineering role ideally within the food manufacturing or related manufacturing industries is pref.
Must understand principals of design.
Previous experience having worked on SAP or a related ERP system is pref.
The successful candidate must have advanced excel skills.
Tertiary qual in either BEng / BSC degree in industrial engineering or related qual is essential.
Previous lean six-sigma (green belt) or equivalent is pref.
Knowledge and understanding of tracking, analysing and communicating KPIs is pref.
Experience of improvement projects (using a DMAIC approach) is pref.
Competence in excel (expert), SAP, Access, Powerpoint and other MS office applications is essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Management of equipment and resources to execute business improvement activities.
Ensure the site of responsibility is aligned to regional facilities in relation to visual management.
Support and/or deliver projects that contribute to a reduction in manufacturing costs.
Drive and challenge performance, actions and escalation processes to increase production performance in the factory, facilitate JTM room and performance boards and lead monthly performance reviews.
Maintain best practise standards for metrics within the region and globally.
Establish, track and maintain capability of existing and new processes and equipment to minimise variation and drive reliable performance.
Actively establish, track, validate and monitor progress on a portfolio of projects.
Report monthly on project status, validate benefits plus sustainability of results.
Facilitate the use of high performance and lean tools (including but not limited to; 5s, 8 wastes, SMED, VSM, TPM, visual factory) to drive targeted performance improvements in productivity, safety, quality and service.
Identify business improvement projects with the Site Operations Manager within operations, quality, safety and supply chain.
Provide supporting data analysis and justifications for any technology improvements and capital expenditures as well as conduct feasibility studies.
Incorporate best practise processes and performance management, for example, value stream mapping, labour utilisation and planning.
Collaborate with other sites within the region and globally to align on best practise and gain advantages through leverage opportunities.
