Our client is looking for a candidate who can take the responsibility for coordination, management and processing of SA payroll, auditing Africa payrolls and all related payroll activities. The ideal candidate will also provide database reporting and analysis to the HR department and security oversight of HRIS systems.
This position interfaces with various levels of employees. Responsibilities involve handling and communicating sensitive and confidential information. The position will also support the Human Resources department from a HRIS and project perspective. Decisions may impact the entire organization, and errors may cause significant pay disruptions, inefficiencies and expense to the organization.
Matric/Grade 12 with Maths or Accounting
Degree/ Diploma related to Finance/Accounting
Payroll certification is required (SAPA)
Experience / Background:
7 to 10 years of previous experience in a payroll function.
Multinational experience and multi country experience of compensation systems in Africa is an advantage
Attention to detail with an ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising quality of work
Must be able to work with multiple stakeholders, some of whom will be virtual.
Applied knowledge of a payroll or remuneration department and reporting related to it
Reporting and financial acumen
