Role and Responsibilities The payments function will require an individual to:
Assisting with incoming deposits, and client payments and settlements on a daily basis (manual or automated)Assisting merchants, and merchant support teams, with 3rd party payouts and depositsWorking with compliance and monitoring teams with any flagged transactions, RFI's and/or the whitelisting of counterpartiesAssistance, tracking and resolve of any open payment queriesAssisting the on-boarding and client relationship management teams with setting up new client account, loading payment methods and helping to resolve queries as well as more general assistance where neededAssistance with client financial reporting where requiredReview statements and provide advice on issues pertaining to business financeSeek to maintain a positive professional relationship with partner financial intuitions, merchants and operational teamsAssisting senior payment operations team members with any tasks or duties delegatedAssist the head of treasury and treasury manager in all financial decisions and ad hoc requestsCompleting daily reconciliations for client and corporate accountsComparing internal back office system balances (Admin Tool) to external sourceAssisting the reconciliation team in investigating reconciliation breaks or discrepancies in daily NAV reportingCompleting monthly reconciliations on non-client money bank accounts for the GroupAssistance with safeguarding and reconciliation procedures around EMI operationsProduce KPI's on payments statistics within the businessAssistance with periodic reviews of fees for banking and payment partnersAssist wider finance team with ad hoc requestsQualifications & Experience Essential 2-4 years experience in the relevant fieldMust be proficient in ExcelExtremely detail oriented and organizedFluent in EnglishExcellent written and verbal communicationPresenting Statistical findingsUnderstanding of how to communicate workflowsBCom/BBusSci degree in finance, financial risk management, financial accounting, accounting, auditing or any relevant degree will be advantageousFinancial reporting experience, strong analysis skills, projections and forecastingDesirable Having finished Articles is a plusKnowledgeable about cryptocurrency, DeFi or neo-bankingFinancial reporting and payments experience is beneficialJob Fit & Personal CharacteristicsPassionate about technologyLoves financial markets and cryptocurrenciesThorough and understands the importance of having a process to followAbility to think laterally – identifying the appropriate opportunities for our productsQuick learner - adaptable and proactive and professionalConfident, well spoken & articulateGood attention to detailSelf-starter / high initiativeSelf motivated and dependableTeam Player with a flexible approach to workAmbitious, innovative and high-energyGreat organizational and time-management skillsWhat you can expect from us: Fair and competitive salary at every stage of your growthMeaningful ownership in the business through our employee option schemeFlexible working hours, with hybrid working at its heartA culture built on passionate growth minded peopleA flexible approach to holiday, with 20 days as standardAn open and creative environment where you can help us define the future of BVNK, it's culture, and it's opportunity sets
