Patient Safety Observer SupervisorJob Summary:The Patient Safety Observer Supervisor, is responsible for leading and overseeing a team of Patient Safety Observers who maintain visual observation and verbally redirect patients. through digital 2-way audio/visual devices within patient rooms. This role involves ensuring. the safety and well-being of patients, providing excellent customer service, and promoting a culture of patient and employee safety. The Supervisor reports to the Patient Safety Manager and collaborates closely with the nursing staff to maintain high-quality patient care.Responsibilities:Team Leadership:• Supervise and mentor a team of Patient Safety Observers, ensuring their adherence to established protocols and guidelines.• Provide training and ongoing support to team members, promoting continuous improvement in performance.Patient Safety:• Oversee the visual observation of patients to identify at-risk behaviors and intervene as needed.• Ensure timely verbal redirection of patients using the digital 2-way audio/visual device.• Monitor and assess patients' needs, requesting nursing staff assistance when necessary.• Collaborate with institutions/clients to address and mitigate patient safety issues.Customer Service:• Set a strong example of excellent customer service by treating patients and employeeswith care, professionalism, and effective communication.• Foster a patient-centric environment by anticipating patient needs and addressing their concerns promptly and effectively.Communication and Documentation:• Facilitate hand-offs of pertinent patient information and behaviors to assigned Patient Safety Observers at the beginning and end of shifts.• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the system, maintaining patient confidentiality as per organizational guidelines.• Audit observers' documentation to ensure compliance, timeliness of completion and standards meet guideline requirements.PLEASE APPLY IF YOU FEEL YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES AND MEET THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS.
