Dis-Chem Pharmacies require a Packaging Designer at our head office in Midrand.
You will be responsible for developing packaging for the Dis-Chem Private Label range, ensuring all design requirements are met from start to finish.
You will oversee research and development of private label products to ensure they are innovative, creative, and industry-specific, enhancing the product range.Minimum Requirements:Grade 12 - Matric or Senior CertificateDiploma or Degree in Graphic Design3 – 5 years' experience in Packaging Design and GraphicsJob Responsibilities include:Generating new packaging designs based on briefsEnsuring designs meet regulatory requirementsCreating print sample proofsConsidering product characteristics and environmental factorsDeveloping initial design concepts and communicating with departmentsManaging projects independently to ensure timely deliveryAdhering to CI guidelines and maintaining packaging specificationsConceptualizing designs for new and rebranded productsStakeholder Engagement:Liaising with NPD, Category Managers, Suppliers, and ManagementEnsuring quality compliance and effective communicationMaintaining partnerships and integrity in transactionsTime and Research Management:Managing timelines and prioritizing tasksResearching industry standards and innovationsConsidering environmental sustainability in designsDesign and Administration:Creating and proofreading designs and proofsMaintaining organized records and filesTeamwork and General Conduct:Collaborating effectively with team membersRespecting company policies, health and safety standards, and appearance policiesCompetencies:Strong industry skills and innovative thinkingExcellent communication in EnglishAccountability and decision-making abilitiesEfficient project management and leadership skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeAdditional Conditions:South African citizenClear criminal and credit checksDriver's license and reliable transportRemuneration and Benefits:Market-related salaryMedical aid, Provident fund, Staff accountOnly successful applicants will be contacted.
