This hotel & spa is situated approximately 57km from Johannesburg’s CBD and consists out of 2 hotels, both of which are 3 & 4 star properties. The property also features 13 different conference rooms, with our headline conference room being a 1500 pax venue. The Hotel features unique architecture, combining both modern and traditional elements, with a hint of French architecture combined with well manicured lawns. This hotel & spa is the venue of choice for both intimate & extravagant weddings, events & corporate gala evenings.
We are recruiting for a Front Office Team Leader that will ensure effective and efficient daily operation by Front Office Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure that all Front Office SOPs are adhered to at all times
Regular training of the staff to ensure adherence to standards
Constantly monitor occupancy levels and forecasts and ensure published rates are in line with Forecast (Peak / Low season rates)
Constantly monitor over – bookings to achieve maximum occupancy.
Ensure all Front Office staff is aware of any specials on offer during valley periods
Check all Conference main accounts to ensure all postings have been done.
Ensure that rates are checked on a daily basis.
Check daily postings on the Night Audit reports.
Ensure that the Daily Management report is completed and balanced daily.
Guest ledger balances report to be monitored daily.
Ensure that all Direct Bills are 100% accurate before being transferred to Accounts payable.
Ensure that “O” status is clear and if not followed up until it’s clear.
Ensure that the Company’s credit facilities regarding Debtors are being adhered to
Ensure the correctness of Rates, Credit limits, payment confirmations and the accuracy of guest details.
Ensure that all departure accounts has been closed out and prepared for Direct Billing where necessary.
Liaise with the Banqueting department regarding bookings for Groups and Conferences.
Ensure that all changes are communicated to other departments as and when necessary.
Ensure that all staff is wearing their correct uniforms and that their appearance is fresh and hygienic.
Ensure that the staff is trained on how to deal with guests in a polite and efficient manner.
Assist with Site Inspections as and when required.
Ensure that guest queries and complaints are being dealt with in an efficient, prompt and courteous manner
Desired Experience & Qualification
Hospitality Management Qualification
2-5 Years Experience in a hotel – Front management post
Reservations Experience
