Experience in commercial area
Fully Computer Literate
At least 5 years plus experience in purchasing environment (automotive)
Technical Background in terms of purchasing, Factory evironment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A go-getter!
Willing to travel

Purchasing and system experience a definate advantage

The successful candidate will be responsible for the:-

Purchasing / ordering of all relevant equipment, consumables, material, etc. As may be required
Purchasing / ordering of Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing
Control the issuing and re-ordering of consignment stock (stationery)
Purchasing of consumables, i.e. day-to-day requirements
Purchasing of Production Tools / equipment
Purchasing of Maintenance Tools / equipment
Co-ordinate orders and payments with the Finance Department
Arrange travel and accommodation for all staff and keep a register as required by liaison and planning together with relevant Travel Manager
Control, Monitor / Log mileage of company cars
Reporting of consignment stock
Reporting on stock movement (Issues and Purchases)
Ensure purchasing policies and procedures are followed by reporting irregularities and/or deviations
Procurement of capex, commodities, spare parts and services – Globally for relevant plants
Responsible for planning, coordinating and administering procurement function, including solicitation, issuance and evaluation: purchasing of all commodities, services and construction and maintenance of supplier database Incumbents perform work requiring considerable independence, innovative and judgement to resolve a variety of complex procurement problems as may be applicable
Assist central services as required
Ensure correct stock levels as per requisitions
General duties as directed
