Operational Team Leaders Urgently RequiredLocation: Gauteng - Westrand and PTAMinimum Requirements:Grade 12 or equivalent at NQF level 4 (essential).Diploma in supply chain management / transportation / safety management or equivalent at NQF level 5 (essential).Code B Drivers License (essential) + Own reliable vehicle.At least 3 years working experience in an operations environment (essential).One year experience in a supervisory capacity (desirable).Job Output:Manage performance objectives of clusters, monitor and apply corrective measures on performance exceptions in accordance with policies and procedures, and escalate to area manager for disciplinary or penalty actions.Co-ordinate, manage and control contracted driver availability & schedules daily and weekly as per cluster requirements.Conduct daily & weekly compliance checks on drivers and assets ensuring all drivers have the necessary resources and tools available and meet all legal and regulatory conditions.Provide physical support in issuing assets, uniforms, and campaign-related articles, ensuring AODs are completed and submitted to the admin team within the required timeframe.Maintain daily face-to-face interaction with independent contractors, executing on-the-job training where required, and promptly addressing driver queries.Obtain driver feedback and communicate it to the business while actively pursuing plans to address barriers to performance.Review and recommend improvements for driver self-service to empower drivers to meet business expectations.Engage daily and weekly with contracted drivers to identify and resolve any challenges they face.Accurately and timeously report field incidents & accidents, providing support functions to contracted drivers and ensuring timely submission of incident/accident reports.Contribute to continuous improvement of the cluster by making recommendations to the Area Manager.Collate and submit budget inputs as required.Measures:Achievement of daily store KPIs in alignment with customer service level agreements.Daily contractor headcount management in accordance with weekly roster/shift schedule.Daily store & driver compliance audits.Accurate reconciliation on assets/uniforms/campaign-related articles at all times.Weekly evidence of toolbox talks/on-the-job training sessions held with contractors.Number of driver queries resolved within the required timeframe.Reporting of all accidents and incidents within your area of responsibility (within 24hrs).Accident & incident claims assistance ensuring regular updates to the claims department.Provide inputs to the budget as required.Assist the area operations manager to improve subcontractor retention rate per store.
