Senior Agronomist

Our client, in the agricultural industry is currently looking to employ a Senior Agronomist - (specialist in crop production, soil control, and soil management). This position will report directly to the Chief Agronomist and is based in Kirkwood. The main purpose of the position is to provide hands on agronomic services to producers based on sound economic principles and covering all aspects of citrus production: Pest and Disease Management (IPM based) Fertilization and Soil Health Improvement Irrigation Scheduling Pruning and Crop Manipulation Cultivar/Variety Spread and Rootstock Choice Picking Practices Production Economics Sustainability Practices Provide junior members within the department with guidance and training. Develop a professional working relationship with their clients. Minimum qualifications and skills required: Min 3 Year tertiary agricultural qualification 3 Years of field and advisory experience in the agricultural industry (preference will be given to those with citrus experience).
