Our client is an established enterprise with a large, distributed technology environment and a critical dependence on secure, resilient connectivity.
The organisation is modernising its network estate and needs a senior technical specialist who can bridge hands‐on engineering, architecture input, security alignment and transformation delivery.Performance Objectives for Year OneOwn senior network design decisions:Lead or materially shape enterprise network designs that improve resilience, scalability, security and operational maintainability.Resolve critical escalations at root cause:Act as third‐line owner for complex network incidents, drive RCA and convert repeated issues into systemic improvements.Advance secure network architecture:Partner with cybersecurity teams to improve segmentation, IDS/IPS alignment, zero‐trust controls and audit‐ready network practices.Drive transformation workstreams:Lead network components of modernisation initiatives such as SD‐WAN, hybrid‐cloud connectivity, segmentation or platform upgrades.Improve operational maturity:Introduce better monitoring, capacity planning, automation or SDN approaches where they can reduce risk, cost or manual effort.Build engineering capability:Mentor Level 1-2 engineers and produce standards, playbooks and design documentation that improve consistency across the team.
