Our client is an environmental consulting firm based in JHBJob DescriptionThe candidate should have a good understanding of environmental laws and support the assessment process by administering and reporting on assessment.This role will be carried out under the guidance of a senior practitioner and may also involve helping with documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant procedures.Key responsibilities will include overseeing Environmental Control Officer (ECO) level duties on project sites, ensuring adherence to environmental management plans and mitigation measures.The successful candidate must have hands-on experience with the online submission and processing of applications in accordance with the National Environmental Management Act (NEMA), as well as Water Use License Applications (WULAs) through the Department of Water and Sanitations online systems.Assisting in Environmental Impact Assessment (EIAs)QualificationsDegree in Environmental Sciences / Engineering or similarSkillsAt least 3 years practical experience in environmental impact assessments.Excellent communication and project management skills.The ability to work under pressure.The ability to work in a team and independently, as required.Excellent report writing and presentation skills.Salary / PackageR180 000 R192 000 Per AnnumN / ACreate a job alert for this searchEnvironmental Assessment Practitioner • Johannesburg, South Africa
