Requirements:Mine COMSOC Safety Officer Engineering: 1-year Fixed Term Contract Gauteng
Grade 12
Must have a COMSOC 1 and 2 is essential
Must have National Certificate in Health and Safety Management
Must have Valid Engineering Trade test Certificate***
Must have minimum of three (3) years working experience gained in industry in Engineering OR plant, construction and/or underground or open cast Mining structures
Experience performing internal workshop, site inspections + in HSE management system audits
Emergency preparedness response management experience in the Mining or Construction
Knowledge of industry related legislation ,standards
Computer Literate MS Office Suite
Must have Valid Drivers License and must be able to relocate to all areas
Safety control systems ,procedures according to organisational +legislative requirements.
Perform role of Safety Officer as depicted in the MHSA regulation 2.17.1 read with all stipulations of Regulation 2.19.1.
All responsibilities, relevant legislation, policy, guidelines, linked to activity, responsibility ,schedules depicted in the safety portion of the OH&S ISO 45001:2018 Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM)
Reporting, Monitoring, Evaluation Audit Ensure that all Safety reporting aligned with standards, guidelines schedules
Establish good working relationships +effective sound communication system within Safety
Experience in internal workshop / site inspections ,HSE management system audits
Emergency preparedness and response management knowledge and experience in the mining or construction sector Salary package offered: Market Related
