Responsible for monitoring departmental compliance with HSE cardinal rules and reinforcing the department's safety culture.Summary of Responsibilities:Health and Safety responsibilities.Monitor compliance with HSE cardinal rules and reinforce safety culture.Implement set SOPs.Report USACs, near misses, incidents, and injuries to the Line Manager and SHEQ.Inspect safety devices as per PM schedules and keep records (E/Stops, speed monitors, rope switches, Castell key units, etc.
).Adhere to LOTO procedures before working on equipment.Follow and review risk assessment processes and inspections before shifts.Work closely with the SHEQ officer on safety measures.Follow and implement departmental baseline risk assessment recommendations.Performance Responsibilities:Regularly check safety devices and keep proper records.Maintain lighting to meet legal illumination requirements through regular maintenance.Implement the 5S principle in the area of responsibility.Perform lubrication, cleaning, and repairs of tools, machines, and equipment.Attend to breakdowns and installations in real-time both on-site and off-site.Inspect and maintain piping, tanks, and other equipment.Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance.Install, maintain, and troubleshoot vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Maintain and troubleshoot pumps, fans, bearings, and conveyance systems.Ensure plant equipment integrity and electrical functionality at 97%.Ensure calibration of weighing equipment.Conduct daily equipment inspections and report on the same day.Assist in planning maintenance and repairs, including shutdowns.Manage spare parts with proper documentation.Inspect and service process equipment, laboratory, office spaces, and utilities.Perform Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures and ensure timely actions.Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.Requirements:Trade Test Millwright/Electrical or related qualification.Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing setup.Basic management and supervisory skills.Interpersonal skills.Basic computer literacy.Competency in Root Cause Analysis methodologies.Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
