Millwright Artisan - Krugersdorp

RCL Foods is looking for an experienced Millwright Artisan to join our Pie's division in Krugersburg.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that all manufacturing equipments are serviced and maintained according to specifications and in line with good engineering practice.
Qualifications: N3 – N6 or NCV Technical qualificationsMillwright Trade TestKnowledge: Knowledge of conveyor belts, wire meshes modular belts, bearings, and mechanical/electrical toolsKnowledge and skill of operating production lineBasic knowledge of fittingBasic knowledge and skill of operating Ammonia and glycol plantKnowledge of PLC's and VSD's machinesKnowledge of AC and DC MachinesKnowledge of boilers and air compressorsKnowledge of ovens, flow rappers, cooking pots, cuber machines, tumbler machines, X-rays, metal detectors, pie lines, spiral freezers, mixers, and vacuum pumps, DEJONG and Handtmann machinesKnowledge of food safety and hygiene requirementsBasic knowledge of different types of lubricantsKnowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act requirementsSkills: Problem-solving skillsListening skillsAbility to work within a teamGood communication skillsAttention to detailExperience: 2 - 5 years' experience as an Artisan in the FMCG industry.
Responsibilities: Repair failures on equipment to restore functionality.Carry out preventative maintenance work including daily inspections on the machines, report and resolve any defects.Carry out root cause analysis to prevent re-occurrence of failures.Ensure job cards are completed timeously and all relevant information is captured.Ensure all equipment is made safe before work is carried out and all safety equipment is functional at all times.Assist production team in machine start-ups and set-ups when necessary.Plan spares and arrange with service providers for pre-planned maintenance activities.Inspect, operate, and test equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and repair failures.Do fault-finding, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems and apparatus including basic PLC fault-finding.Perform other duties as assigned, including spiral freezer blockages or repairs, and mechanical fitting work.Communication: Ability to communicate well at all levels and ability to read and write.
