Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.Experience:Minimum 2-5 years of experience in microbiological testing, preferably in the FMCG, food, or beverage industry.Skills:Strong knowledge of microbiological methods, food safety regulations, and quality standards.Proficiency with laboratory equipment and techniques (e.g., PCR, plating, microscopy).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and other food safety management systems.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.Strong commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.Key Responsibilities:Microbiological Testing:Conduct routine and non-routine microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.Perform environmental monitoring, including air and surface sampling in production areas.Quality Assurance:Ensure products meet internal and regulatory microbiological standards (e.g., ISO, HACCP, FSSC 22000).Validate and verify cleaning and sanitation processes to prevent contamination.Process Monitoring:Identify and monitor potential microbiological risks during production.Provide recommendations to minimize contamination risks.Compliance & Reporting:Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all microbiological analyses.Prepare detailed reports for audits, regulatory submissions, and management reviews.Research & Development Support:Assist in developing and testing new products for microbial stability and shelf-life.Evaluate preservatives and antimicrobial agents for effectiveness.Hygiene Training:Provide training to production and quality teams on hygiene practices and microbiological risks.Promote awareness of food safety standards and microbiological compliance.Audit & Inspection:Support internal and external audits by ensuring all microbiological protocols are followed.Liaise with regulatory bodies for inspections and certifications.How to apply:Follow the link to our jobseeker's page.
