Educational Requirements National Diploma in Electronics Engineering (N6) Experience Use of electronic test equipment Electrical and/or electronic fault-finding and troubleshooting PCB rework and good soldering technique Manufacturing processes Service and repair medical equipment Basic use of tools and machinery Disassembly and assembly of mechanical systems Functions: To ensure that maintenance of medical equipment is done according to our zero-defect policy and any other company standards and procedures; To ensure that the service area and tools are kept in an excellent condition at all times; To assist and support senior technicians; To ensure that the service laboratory is clean and tidy at all times; Examples of daily activities/tasks Daily prioritization of own tasks Send out the weekly priority sheet; Writing reports to management; Any other tasks as delegated by the Managing- , Technical -, Financial Director, Service Manager or your line - and task manager; Maintenance of medical equipment Refurbishment of medical equipment; Calibration of medical equipment; Performing electrical safety tests on medical equipment; PCB component level assembly; Monitoring of stock levels; Ordering of parts and components; Sourcing of parts and components; Interaction with local manufacturers and suppliers; Prepare delivery notes; Complete service reports; Keep the service area and laboratory clean and tidy on a daily basis Other Requirements Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans (read, write and speak) Good report writing Understanding of basic electrical and electronic fundamentals Insight in mechanical dynamics and design Understanding of schematic diagrams (PCB-, wiring- and assembly diagrams); Ability to follow detailed technical calibration instructions involving careful adjustments, measurements and documentation of results; Salary - Depending on qualifications and experience, the salary package will range between R13k to R25k per month.
