Medical / Biomedical Technologist - Bacteriological Culture Media

Minimum requirements for the role :A bachelor of science degree or diploma in either microbiology or biotechnology or related with a focus on medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or related is essential for this role.Previous experience having conducted quality control testing on bacteriological culture media within a micro laboratory is essential for this role.Previous quality control and growth performance and sterility testing is preferred.Must have knowledge of micro / medical laboratory equipment, techniques, tests, and procedures.Must be able to report and record results.Must have previous working knowledge of sterile procedures.The successful candidate must have had some working knowledge on bacteriological culture media.The successful candidate will be responsible for :Conducting and overseeing all quality control testing on medical media / bacteriological culture media for the company.Performing quality control, growth performance and sterility testing and involved with production and manufacturing of products maintaining laboratory supply inventories.Collecting quality control samples to be tested.Performing quality control testing on bacteriological culture media which includes sterility testing and growth performance testing.Determining whether sample parameters fall within normal ranges and identifying abnormalities.Overseeing all inventory laboratory stock and supplies, as well as ordering replenishments.Maintaining and overseeing all the servicing of equipment within the laboratory.Maintaining and managing the media mage quality system.Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
