Mechanical Press Technician (Hydraulic Press Maintenance) - Eastern CapeRneg + Company HousingMinimum Requirements:Matric / Grade 12 or equivalentN4 Certificate in Mechanical EngineeringQualified MillwrightAt least 5 years of manufacturing plant experienceAdvanced hydraulics experience in plant maintenanceProven supervisory management and job planning experience (advantageous)Experience in the agriculture, forestry, or wood industry (advantageous)Key Responsibilities:Manage all mechanical press maintenance, including shutdown work, ensuring machine availabilityEnsure compliance with maintenance business processes within the area of responsibilityDevelop and implement maintenance standards; maintain equipment according to these standardsTrain and develop the plant engineering team to meet standardsConduct audits to ensure compliance with standardsPlan and execute maintenance and shutdown activitiesManage and motivate subordinates effectivelyControl maintenance costs within budget parametersAdditional Skills and Attributes:Strong communication and team management abilitiesProblem-solving skillsKnowledge of OHASA standardsGood understanding of hydraulics and pneumaticsLeadership and management skillsProficiency in Windows programs; knowledge of MS Projects is advantageousSelf-starter with a proven track record of achievement
