The Ideal CandidateMust have + 3 years in the fitting tradeMust have supervisory work experienceMust have a good understanding of plant and maintenance operationsDuties includeOperate a computerized maintenance system as well as report frequently on maintenance breakdowns, preventative maintenance adherence and condition of assetsPlanning, requesting, and controlling spares needed for workAnticipate labour requirements and arrange accordinglyPrioritize and schedule daily work and manage time to ensure that maximum productivity is metEnsure that all equipment is maintained in good working order according to suppliers maintenance requirements, prolonging its useful lifeCompleting job cards to ensure that the job card reports, job details of the work done, and time taken to complete the job are recorded on the job cardCo-ordinate with the Planner all maintenance activities on site, routine work, and breakdown work and emergency work to minimize downtime and delaysEnsure the quantity and quality of strategic spares is always available to ensure the minimum downtime of equipment and to minimize operational delaysEnsure that all documentation is completed and filed timeouslyEnsure correct PPE is worn and availableEnsure that inspection of portable electrical equipment, lifting equipment, statutory and PPE is carried outQualificationsMinimum qualification = N3 National Diploma in Engineering or any related qualificationNB Please note that due to COVID 19, recruiters are not able to contact each applicant.
