Our client in the retail industry is looking for a Marketing Executive to join their experienced team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Conceptualize and implement long term and short-term strategies to maintain existing as well as grow new market share.
* Conduct research (qualitative and quantitative) on a number of topics to gain insight into consumer buying habits and purchase intentions.
* Analyse data in order to better understand the environment to develop optimal marketing plans for SA.
* Development of a customer strategy and CRM delivery.
* Driving a customer loyalty programme and build an affiliate strategy.
* Build internal digital expertise.
* Grow e-commerce and understand the e commerce eco-system, both digital marketing and operations.
* Lead creation and deployment of the annual brand Marketing Calendar, including reporting monthly on all marketing activities.
* Create brand awareness and growth for products through implementation of a marketing program in South Africa and Sub Saharan African.
* Support and facilitate the development and implementation of specific brand plans across multiple channels.
* Localise and integrate strategic and operational plans from USA.
* Main point of contact for Global Marketing, connecting digitally with the team in LA.
* Understand and assess competitor activities, industry changes and trends to ensure leadership position is maintained.
* Support new product launches and deals to ensure the sell in %, footprint % and category growth objectives are met as outlined in the business plan.
* Creatively develop and implement a Marketing & PR program to support the marketing strategy to uphold and advance brand positioning in south and sub-Saharan Africa, ensuring achievement and requisitioning of company growth.
* Oversee the brands’ PR and influencer strategy and initiatives by working both with agencies and the in-house team.
* Strategize; plan and effectively implement a media plan in line with the communication plan utilizing social media platforms.
* Through your team, ensure accurate forecasting of deals, event targets and launch targets. Monthly assessments by designing tactical programs to assist management slow and obsolete stock. Careful communicating marketing program to assist sell out discontinued items.
* Ensure effective communication of deals as well as drive sell through.
* Together with the sales and marketing management team take responsibility for forecasting of all product requirements to meet sales and inventory targets.
* Plan and administer Marketing budgets, track and report on spend.
* Lead, manage, coach and develop the marketing team.
* Provide creative and innovative direction to the creative team.

* 10 Years marketing experience at a Senior Level, ideally with a premium brand or a national retailer.
* Microsoft Office Proficiency (PowerPoint; Word and advanced Excel).
* Experience in e-commerce and digital marketing.
* A good attitude and adaptability.
