A “Generalist” Marketing Co-ordinator / Account Exec with some Social Marketing responsibilities. This person will work hand in hand with and under the guidance of the owner of the company. Client & Stakeholder relationships o Understand client’s business needs in order to provide relevant solutions that achieve their business objectives Build credible, long-lasting relationships with clients, suppliers, colleagues to ensure that business requirements are always met efficiently, on time and on budget Ensure that targets are met Project Management Proactively obtain accurate and complete information to determine the exact needs of any client and provide the correct service and products within the agreed timeframe Data & Reporting To provide all supporting documentation and data for all reports required, within the agreed timeframes Accurately complete all project reports and ensure that they are up-to-date at all times Procurement & Resource Management Effectively source the best service providers to produce the correct product, of the right quality, at the best possible rate within the agreed timeframe and at the required standard Manage procurement of internal vs external resources and capabilities to optimise profitability, save costs and create efficiencies, wherever possible Finance Negotiate with service providers for more favourable prices and payment terms to benefit and manage cash flow effectively Reconcile budgets for closing as soon as last expenses to the budgets are finalised Social Media & Social Media Marketing Exposure to social media, social media marketing and community management is essential This role will participate with the team in Social media management Creative brainstorms around marketing content Research content for social media channels for the company and its clients General Assist all staff with tasks that support the growth and sustainability of the company, including administration, coordination, control or new business development initiatives Strive to uphold the values and Code of Conduct Be excited to learn new skills and take on new work every day Excellent English language skills – written, spoken and comprehension Have dealt with people of all levels in an organization Taking a brief from client Creating an internal agency brief Writing contact reports Generating procurement briefs for suppliers Gathering quotes from suppliers Logistics around production of goods and services Creating critical time paths and following through the production cycle from brief to delivery To manage accurate costing sheets and budgets, ensuring budgets are met and profitability targets are achieved Basic social media management for the company or clients they have worked for Should have worked in a small company / agency where often there was a requirement for “all hands on deck” Secretarial experience for an owner / senior director or partner will be helpful Should have worked under pressure and delivered against deadlines Must be expert in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Must have common sense Need to instinctively have attention to detail Need to be efficient planners & implementers Must have grit and determination Ability to communicate thoughts and concepts must be excellent – and should be able to clearly explain and say what they need to say Must operate and function well in a team Have some level of creative streak Should be curious and truly want to learn new skills every day as this position comes with extraordinary opportunities to learn – and the expectation is that any team member understands and embraces this not just as an idea, but as something actionable that drives ongoing performance improvement Own transport or are able to move around without it becoming a company issue Digitally savvy R25,000 per month (negotiable based on experience) Excellent English language skills – written, spoken and comprehension Have dealt with people of all levels in an
