Are you looking to join the leading Cross Border FinTech platform in Africa? Our Marketing Team at Mukuru is expanding and an opportunity for a Marketing Assistant has become available to join our team in Cape Town.
The main purpose of this role is to provide administrative assistance to the marketing team and to take ownership of the execution of assigned marketing initiatives.
The Marketing Assistant reports directly to the Marketing Manager. This position is responsible for providing support to marketing projects and initiatives and overseeing the last mile execution. The Marketing Assistant must ensure that all marketing collateral and business documents are produced or delivered to partners within the required time frames.
Internal liaison takes place with the marketing team. External liaison takes place with 3rd parties and suppliers.
Duties and responsibilities(includes but is not limited to):
To provide input into the Marketing strategies and tactics
Assist with compiling media plans
To assist the Marketing team with market analysis
Keep up-to-date new developments in the market place
Assist with gathering market intelligence (environmental, customer and competitive)
Support the Marketing team in carrying out research
To ensure effective marketing communication through marketing collateral, public relations and online activities
To take ownership of sponsorship initiatives
To ensure quality assurance checks are in place for marketing activities and initiatives
Coordinates internal and external meetings for the marketing team
Address any queries received from suppliers
Action the relevant process to ensure supplier payments are made timeously
Provide support where required in relation to outstanding payments
Ensure artwork files are kept updated and stored correctly
To manage own professional and self-development
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
Related tertiary qualification (Desirable)
1 year administrative or marketing experience (Essential)
Relevant industry experience (Desirable)
Knowledge of marketing principles
Knowledge of marketing & communication media processes
Knowledge of the Mukuru products
