Job title: Manufacturing Manager Work Location: Atlantis 7349 Division/Department: Operations Reports to: Operations Executive Overall Responsibility: Full accountability for manufacturing and maintenance of processing, packaging and maintenance areas.
Driving operational excellence through a highly engaged team with disciplined processes and measures.
Driving continuous improvement in service levels and optimizing conversion costs.
To plan, organize and direct production activities including employee development and safety in order to deliver products which meet customer's requirements in quality, quantity and on time delivery at the lowest possible cost within an environment of continuous improvement.
Main responsibilities of Focus Area: Manufacturing: Ensuring the Manufacturing Team delivers in full, on time and within budget.
Manage the Maintenance function to ensure the optimal availability of assets to meet production requirements.
Safety through the drive for constant progress in employee Safety as well as food Safety with the intent to improve our employee's wellbeing and delivering a safe product for consumers.
Quality: Make certain decisions made are clear and concise in not only product quality, but also employee management and auditing of our processes and procedures.
Effective management of costs whilst seeking opportunities for saving without compromising Safety, Quality or Efficiency.
Drive a culture within manufacturing, focusing on continuous improvement, zero defect and disciplined processes.
Driving activities to build an engaged manufacturing team Development of direct reports through the identification of training requirements.
As part of the Operations Management team, provide positive insights into driving operational excellence.
Execution of Capex planning GMR2 accountability Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Operations or Engineering or Business Degree/Diploma Minimum of 5 Years Manufacturing, Engineering and Packaging experience Minimum 5 Years Project/Capex management experience in a Food manufacturing environment 3-5 Years of managerial experience within an FMCG environment with a demonstrated ability to lead individuals and teams.
Working knowledge of Quality & Food Safety as well as Safety regulations Experience with Lean Manufacturing Principles Skills/Competencies Required: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Numerate, analytical, and organized Complex Problem-solving skills Attention to detail Project management Team player If you have not heard back from us within 3 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
