Job Description Job Purpose• Responsible for the overall direction of the business and for achieving maximum return on investment.• Oversee the business, driving the continued success and future growth of the business with a focus on diversification of customer base and distribution models; establishing greater market share; and creating an ethos of excellence and desire for continuous improvement.Minimum Skills and knowledge required• A degree or higher diploma in business management and administration is essential.• At least 5 years’ experience in the field of managing the responsibilities of different functions within a business unit.• At least 5 years batteries and or industry related experience with experience in managing contracts.• Strong commercial and financial acumen.• Ability to handle all departments effectively and efficiently.• Strong understanding of customer relations.• A stable career history with a demonstrable track record of success.Primary Duties and Responsibilities• Responsibilities include conducting the overall management of the company, developing, and implementing effective strategies and plans to achieve company's goals and growth.• Supervise and manage all departments including sales, marketing, human resources, inventory, financial, production and customer services.• A proven track record of successfully managing a company with excellent leadership, communication and organizational skills and experience in the management of senior staff, employees, and all HR matters.• A high level of business awareness and acumen; continuous monitoring of the annual budget and ensure that all the financial elements are attained.• Understanding the intricacies of financial management• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills• Strong crisis management and conflict mediation skills• Give strategic advice and report results and findings to chairman and board members• Keep all relevant stakeholders informed of developments in line with company’s objectives• Create and report on business plans, monitoring its efficacy and progress• Research and implement new initiatives to drive revenue, lower operating costs while maintaining quality products that are competitive, all while delivering excellent customer support;• Manage and report on the effective implementation of a marketing strategy to maintain market relevance and promote products and services to increase sales• Manage the quality of products, services, customer support and level of service in line with service level agreements and other retention strategies;• Promote the wellness of staff and implementing policies in line with labour legislation and health and safety guidelines to create a diverse and positive working environment.• Preparation of quarterly MD Business reports and attending/presenting at monthly board meetings.• Maintaining and supporting “The four disciplines of Execution – 4DX” program.
