In this function, you will be responsible for defining and developing the strategic direction and implementation of a local Talent Management Strategy, its processes, policies and supporting tools based on the overall framework which is strongly aligned with requirements of the market and the BMW Group, thereby ensuring the right talent at the right time by constantly monitoring future market developments and adapting the organisation to the VUCA landscape it operates in. Provides leadership to a team of Talent Specialist who partner with HR Management to advise managers on: recruiting and retaining top talent, coaching and training on effective performance management practices, implementation and development of a local talent management strategy.Define and activate a local talent analytics strategy to embed analytics and data-driven mindset across the HR function to drive business outcomes through talent insights.Continuously identify current and future skill gaps across the organization and partners with Organizational Transformation to address solutions.Supports business as advisor and technical expert on organizational and team development, talent management and company culture.Stays current and informed of talent management best practices and trends, develops appropriate metrics for tracking BMW SA workforce trends and identify opportunity for improving talent management programmes to better serve the organization’s workforce requirements.Innovates by continuously improving recruitment and development processes and automation to create efficiencies and better serve internal customers.Promotes BMW SA as a selective, ideal employer in the local labour market. Develops relationships with cost-effective sources of external recruiting support services such as career websites, employment agencies, assessment services, higher educational institutions etc. Monitors their effectiveness and intervenes as necessary to optimize service.Providing proficient consultation with HR Management on all phases of talent management such as succession management, assessment, talent pipelines, selection processes etc.Developing communication and marketing methods in educating employees on education programs and resources.Collaborating with business leaders and human resources to develop and execute an incorporated approach to development, learning and talent management.Providing thought leadership to business leaders to develop training programs that align with company’s strategy.Define and implement effective recruitment marketing initiatives that enable the acquisition of the best suitable candidates.Responsible for steering and implementation of all leadership training and development initiatives.Actively develops, steers and implements all vocational and technical training initiatives.Compliance with education, training and skills development programmes in alignment with governmental initiatives and guidelines (e.g. Merseta funding topics, etc.)Management of the Early Learning Centre of BMW SA.Collaborate with Regional COC functions in the implementation of Group Talent Management strategies, policies, systems & solutions; represent the interests of the Market by providing input and transparency of market needs and requirements and ensure those are met, when support is requested.Steer the roll out of all Group initiatives within BMW SA market, to ensure full implementation and appropriateness to local market conditions. Qualifications and Experience Minimum requirementsQualifications and experience:Degree in Human Resources; Business Management or Social Science5+ years’ experience in Human Resources strategy development and implementation5+ years of Project Management experience, cross functionally and internationally5+ years of project management / strategic project leadership experience.3+ years of Market and Industry KnowledgeCompetencies:Strategic and Conceptualization skillsExcellent analytical skills with a track record in supporting business strategies through the use of data and analyticsSpecialist Knowledge on HR Talent Value ChainBusiness and Political AcumenRelevant legislationInterpersonal and Intercultural CompetenceAbility to Shape and Steer Topics in a Complex and Uncertain EnvironmentDemonstrates strong leadership and innovative thinking Manager: Talent Management Legal Entity: BMW (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd.
