A position of Manager: Stakeholder Programmes exists in Santam Brand Services.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The role is intended to provide effective thought leadership to and effective project management of the portfolio of Santam’s partnerships with municipalities and other public sector, private sector and third sector partnerships.
The projects are in respect of Santam’s Partnerships for Risk and Resilience (P4RR) Programme.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To provide oversight and implementation of P4RR programme nationally.
• Developing and reviewing the P4RR strategy including establishing a risk management framework and dashboard to monitor & evaluate P4RR deliverables.
• Prepare partnership agreements that are required in the course of the P4RR work. This includes ensuring, together with Santam Legal that agreements are compliant and acceptable.
• Budget Management: Prepare project and portfolio financial budgets, reporting, and governance, overseeing the day-to-day expenditure and management of the P4RR budget and partnerships.
• Manage small to large project implementation using the principles and disciplines of project management including agile methodology.
• Facilitate the quarterly National Disaster Resilience Roundtable and its projects.
• Stakeholder Management: Developing & maintaining partnership relationships with municipal officials, politicians and principals of other partners.
• Building & maintaining relations with stakeholders internal to Santam.
• Represent and champion P4RR at internal, Santam and other external forums.
• Ensuring P4RR compliance with contracting and management of suppliers (following the Santam Group Sourcing protocols).
• Emthunzini Community Trust P4RR priorities and deliverables executed on time, in adherence to budget.
• Complete reporting and administration on the P4RR to Santam Exco, SESCO and the annual Santam Integrated Report.
• Effective implementation of the P4RR Strategy and tracking of the P4RR Dashboard.
What will make you successful in this role?
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in Disaster Risk Management at a Senior Level.
• Understanding the rules, regulations, sanctions and other statutory requirements, guidelines and instructions relating to governing bodies and organisations, both internally and externally.
• Knowledge of government policies and legislation and related practices in Fire, Emergency Services & Disaster Management services.
• Knowledge of Risk Management and Analysis, the process of measuring, or assessing risk and then developing strategies to manage the risk.
• Knowledge and experience of Risk Management as it relates to commercial risk reduction.
