IntroductionArcelorMittal South Africa is looking to recruit a Maintenance Manager.
ResponsibilitiesEnsuring safety for own section, including FPS compliance on level 5, LBIs, PSIFs, Safety Meetings, Forum 4, Pact Agreements, SFAs and statutory cards.Managing all safety, health, environmental and business risks for own section.Oversee and manage Execution Teams, to effectively and efficiently execute scheduled work, ensure high level of work execution quality and balance Execution Team resources, across area of responsibility, based on plant priorities and business needs.Also ensure that proper feedback is given to Plant Team via job cards for them to improve Work Identification, Planning and Scheduling.Manage the mechanical and electrical maintenance for execution teams who deliver.Manage planning and execution of all planned shutdowns.Develop and maintain excellent employee and union relationships.Compile and execute maintenance strategies for above areas.Managing maintenance systems for own areas.Actively driving continuous improvement and identifying cost saving ideas.Managing training requirements for complete section and ensuring competency of subordinates as far as managerial, technical and safety is concerned.Coach and develop supervisory levels and high potential candidates.QualificationsB-Eng.
Degree (NQF 8/10) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.Management Development Program will be an advantage.Experience and RequirementsMinimum 10 years' experience.SAP experience (plant maintenance and project systems).Experience in managing multiple maintenance teams.Computer literate with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Projects.Personal AttributesInclined to take charge, lead and influence people.Motivated, pro-active and performance driven.Takes initiative and is innovative.Ability to perform well under pressure.Coordinates tasks and events.Focused on achieving targets and goals.Caring for individuals and their health & safety.Sense of responsibility and apt to take initiative.Good problem-solving skills.Able to lead, manage and coordinate a team.
