Duties: Training and Development Strategy: Develop and implement a Training strategy for the Authority aligned to the Organisational strategy ? Human Resources Development (HRD) processes: Provide and manage HRD processes which consist of training and development and career development services (career pathing) to ensure the development of staff in order to meet the identified skills gaps of staff in the Authority and comply with legislative requirements of the Skills Development Act and Skills Development Levy Act, as well as National Skills Development Strategy ? Skills Development Facilitator (SDF): Serve as a SDF to assist with the development of the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and other skills development related activities, whilst acting as the liaison between the PSIRA and the relevant SASSETA ? Learnership, and internship programmes: Coordinate learnership and internship programmes as well as in-service training ? Induction/Orientation Programme: Coordinate the development, monitoring and implementation of an induction/orientation programme to ensure that staff induction is dealt in an organised and consistent manner ? Management of Bursaries: Coordinate the management and implementation of a bursary/subsidised education scheme to ensure development and up-skilling of employees ? Policy Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures pertaining to training and development ? Training Material Development: Liaise with all departments to define and prepare relevant training documentation and course material. This includes designing, modifying and implementing training courses and methodologies that are aligned to the overall business and training strategies ? Budget: Compile, monitor and control the implementation of an organisational training budget management ? Performance Management: Effectively implement the performance management system.
National Diploma or degree in Human Resources Development, Management or Management of Training coupled with at least 7 years’ experience in Human Resource Training and Development environment of which 3 years should have been at Managerial level ? SDF Certificate will be an added advantage ? Drivers Licence is essential.
