/ Key AccountabilitiesManage a proactive Supplier Industrial Relations risk identification and management strategy.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Sasol Group’s commercial contracts and ensure that suppliers understand their rights, responsibilities, and deliverables.
Manage an integrated Supplier industrial relations consulting service to Sasol stakeholders based on the Sasol Commercial Contracts; the LRA; Sasol Suppliers Industrial Relations Procedure, the main agreements of the MEIBC / BCCEI; Sectorial Determinations and other.
Assist in defining methodologies for supplier review. Track supplier performance and partnerships.
Define needed mechanisms (e.g. workshops, health checks) to evaluate and influence suppliers’ industrial relations.
Assess and communicate the impact of disputes, strikes, and incidents on wider Supplier Industrial relations, precedent setting, morale, and reputational risk.
Monitor appropriate identification and reporting on supplier non-conformance and advise on supplier de-selection if necessary.
Guide effective determination of root causes of supplier non-performance. Identify trends and propose specific or broad-based remedial actions.
Utilise supplier data, analytics, and reports to develop future strategies and recommendations.
Participate in relevant forums and workshops. Gather actionable insights to enhance supplier relationships.
Apply evidence-based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.
Build and maintain positive relationships with Suppliers and key stakeholders to enable the achievement of optimal, mutually beneficial partnerships.
Manage the Sasol Supplier IR team performance and ensure standard practices, philosophies and ways of work across Sasol Group.
Nurture a team spirit and openness towards feedback, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation.
Manage Sasol IR Team’s Safety adherence with proactive controls of Key Undesirable Events.
Manage Sasol IR Team’s budget compliance and team’s performance.
Formal Education:
Honours Degree in Industrial or Labour Relations, Human resources or related field.
