Certified by the Top Employer Institute 2024.Role Purpose/Business Unit: The Manager of Forex, Cashflow Management, Opex, and Intercompany is responsible for leading teams and implementing the FinOps strategy related to financial cycles, policies, procedures, systems, and controls in an agile, well-controlled environment.
This includes activities managed locally and within Vodafone Shared Services (VOIS), covering:Operational Expenses Accounting and Reporting (Opex)Intercompany and Intra-Group (ICO) including intercompany eliminations for the VSA GroupForex AccountingBalance Sheet ReconciliationsYour responsibilities will include:Managing end-to-end processes, related accounting activities, and projects to accurately reflect the financial position of the organization and ensure compliance with accounting standards.Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the Shared Services Team.Managing all SOX related processes for Opex, ICO, and Forex Accounting.Driving process improvements, efficiency, and cost reduction initiatives.Overseeing Month-End and Year-End activities.Coordinating month-end close processes for Intercompany, Opex, and Forex Accounting.Ensuring policies, processes, and governance frameworks (SOX, audits) are in place and followed.Collaborating with various teams within Finance Operations, Shared Services, Group Finance & Treasury, Business Partnering, and Auditors.Leading process innovation and automation projects to improve accuracy and timeliness of KPIs.The ideal candidate for this role will have:Chartered Accountant qualification3-5 years of relevant experienceKnowledge of SOX, IFRS, and local GAAPHedge Accounting and Cash Flow Management knowledge (advantage)Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:Strong communication, influencing, and decision-making skillsOperational finance experienceResults-driven and deadline-orientedProcess improvement mindsetTeam management skillsSystem knowledge – SAP ERP and HFMWe offer:Enticing incentive programs and competitive benefitsRetirement funds, risk benefits, and medical aidCell phone, data benefits, fibre discounts, and staff discounts with partnersApplication closing date: 25 April 2025.Location: Midrand, Vodacom Campus.Our Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered in recruitment.
