Manager, Data Privacy & Protection

Location: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, Simmonds Street
To assist the Head of Data Governance, Privacy & Protection with managing and implementing Standard Bank South Africa’s (“SBSA”) global privacy strategy. Generally, required to support the Head of Data Governance, Privacy & Protection to discharge her responsibilities relating to data privacy and protection as required by applicable regulatory requirements (“laws”) and to assist entities within SBSA to meet their risk obligations by:
- providing and defining global privacy advice and guidance
- collating the privacy reporting and defining oversight
- developing and embedding the privacy culture, awareness and training
- management of data privacy risk management
- conducting privacy monitoring
Qualifications
Type of qualification: First Degree
Field of study: LLB Legal/ Risk Management
Relevant tertiary qualification (legal or risk related) or IAPP certification or other relevant
certification such as CProf, CPrac, CCSA, CGET and CISM will be favourably considered or Comprehensive understanding of the global regulatory, risk and technology environment affecting data privacy
3 to 5 years’ experience in privacy, information risk management. Information security or a compliance function or Knowledge of the financial industry will be an advantage
