Job Description:Driving governance at site with the financial managerReviewing all trial balances to ensure completeness of the accountsEnsuring all transactions are reconciled and queries resolved promptlyFollowing up with the team on long outstanding items; ensuring credit/debit notes are processedCreating payments via bank accountMaintaining fixed asset registerPreparing cashbook and reconciliationsAllocating ad hoc invoicesDeveloping processes and internal controls to strengthen internal controlsPreparing accrual and adjustment journalsPreparing payment journalsPreparing for annual audits, including schedules and queriesEnsuring smooth functioning of the administrative departmentAssisting in guiding, training, and supervising junior staffManaging tax submissions (EMP201s, VAT 201s), reviewing payroll, CIPC submissions, WCAPresenting management account analysisClearing inputs into finance systemsEnsuring the business's financial compliance with standard group procedures and work instructionsDriving standardization rollout at the business unit and managing the standard day of direct reportsManaging working capital:Debtors: Ensuring compliance with Group processes regarding CRMS, PODs, and rebatesCreditors: Ensuring liabilities are recorded and compliance linked to operational aspects of order origination, PODs, receipting, and cost recording in line with SOPsReviewing payroll costs with oversight of planned and incurred overtime
Project management, capital review, EVA modeling
Performing periodic internal audits with Group functions
Meeting monthly finance deadlines
Assisting in site annual budgeting and external audit processes
Reporting:
Completing and submitting monthly management reporting packs on timeAnalyzing key drivers (waste, GP, rebates, variable & fixed inputs)Reviewing weekly financial KPIs for compliance and variancesManaging site stock control team
