The focus of the role will be to ensure that there is always capacity available to provide existing and new services including upgrades. It is essential that our service availability meets our client commitments through data analysis. The role is responsible for managing the allocation of capacity elements and ensuring that additional capacity requirements are identified and implemented to ensure service continuity. The role focuses on streamlining Availability management & Capacity Management and automation where possible. The overall goal of the role is to ensure client satisfaction via managed service. The role requires someone who has an analytical approach and an eye for detail to ensure that data is up to date and relevant at all times. Working at NTT As an Availability and Capacity Analyst in the Collab CDO team, you will be responsible for the following activities: Create capacity and availability plans to leverage existing IT investments and reduce downtime. Track ongoing demand for availability & capacity by working closely with the Service Level Manager and extracting and analysing relevant data in order to extrapolate trends and continually forecast current and future IT capacity and availability needs. providing subject matter expertise in a broad range of Collaboration disciplines and have both Skype for Business specialist skills as well as extensive Collaboration general knowledge. researching, testing, developing, project managing and implementing new technical Collaboration solutions, interface programs, customised utilities and hardware devices in support of the Collab CDO mission interfacing directly with other groups within the client and Dimension Data Managed Services teams, to help them ensure that their work meets the CDO standards and to act as point of contact for Collaboration questions and issues participating on large scale enterprise projects in order to design, modify and implement technical, procedural and administrative Collaboration solutions Responsible for ensuring that additional capacity requirements are identified and implemented based on forecasted trending analysis. Responsible for implementing and reporting on availability of Skype for Business managed services against the agreed service levels Automation of data capture and data manipulation to streamline Capacity and Availability Management within the Collab CDO. Determine the availability requirements and capacity demands for new and existing IT services to minimise service outages and maximise customer satisfaction. Incorporate availability and capacity requirements in new services to create services that are designed to meet the availability and capacity needs of the business. Be responsible for availability and performance monitoring, investigate related incidents and diagnose problems, to improve the availability of IT services to the business. Provide detailed system reporting to users and technical groups to highlight availability and reliability against agreed targets. Assistance to the Availability & Capacity Process Owner with the development of a comprehensive availability & capacity management practice and process in line with industry best practices. Build an understanding of the client’s environment with focus on understand patterns of business activity. Develop effective working relationships with the client stakeholders Liaise directly with 3rd party workforce suppliers on matters related to IT capacity and availability.
