The purpose of this post is to ensure that credible grab and core samples are retrieved for objective measurement. You will also have to ensure that adequate production levels are maintained on the OM floor and report any discrepancies to the wool technician on site.Job FunctionsAdministration,WarehousingIndustriesAgricultureSpecificationWe have to get serious for a bit. •Grade 12
•Must be able to work in a team
•Good interpersonal skills
•Writing and arithmetic skills
•Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
•Must be able to perform under pressure
•Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment

KEY FUNCTIONS:
1.Grab machine operator:
-Ensure credible, industry approved grab sample is taken from each sale lot.
-Sample weights must always adhere to Wool Testing Bureau specifications.
-Ensure that the wool quality within the bale is uniform in wool type
2.Ensure all samples are credible and trustworthy
3.Ensure that bales are marked correctly and legibly.
4.Recordkeeping - Ensure proper recordkeeping and control of bales on the OM floor
5.Adhere to the rules and regulations of health and safety.
6.Perform any other ad hoc activities/duties/tasks/ as requested by the supervisor or management in the plant (BKB)
