This position is in Boekenhout (Cullinan), therefor the candidate has to have his own transport
Two shifts that rotates: Monday to Friday 05:00 – 15:00 or 08:00 – 18:00 and every second Saturday
Daily maintenance and scheduling of fleet as well as ensuring documentation and records for all dispatched and returned loads.
Ensure weekly wages are submitted in time and correctly
Ensure the daily overtime report is done, and sent to Manager.
Allocate assistants on the daily utilization according to overtime availability.
Ensure all assistants have the relevant PPE before being dispatched.
Manage of assistants leave.
Ensure daily utilization is updated with actuals daily. (Weight, Stops, Kilometers)
Integration of all routes after planning is done.
Creating daily collection trips according to time slots. (Loading instruction)
Send a daily vehicle allocation via e-mail to the Junior Logistics Manager.
Plan, organize and prioritise own and team tasks.
Provide assistance according to own level / area of competence and in accordance with company policies to the drivers and co-workers to ensure achievement of functional objectives.
Report all incidents after shift to prevent operation failure.
Assist with daily pallet count and coordinating the preloading of vehicles daily.
Manage for the day-to-day routes and updating Sales department hourly of the route completeness.
Report on Shortages, returns, extra’s or all discrepancies on route
Capture of daily returns and distribution of returns report to all relevant departments.
Implement process and procedures to ensure the most efficient route plan
Establish & maintain sound relationships with clients.
Build relationships with all clients and ensure satisfactory service at all times.
Responsible for proper internal/ external communication with the client and internal divisions to ensure coordination between all parties.
Supervise and control subordinate’s activities to ensure daily targets are met.
Supervise time and attendance of all subordinates.
Ensure disciplinary procedures are applied adequately.
Assure stable employee relations by managing conflict and creating a positive and performing working environment.
Driver’s license (code 8)
3 years’ experience at a supervisory level plus a minimum of 2 years of Fleet Controlling and Route Planning experience.
