Logistics Clerk (Shipping/Cargo)

Someone who comes from the shipping industry or agent would be preferred: Duties: Monitoring and reconciling depot daily tracking and stock reports. Analyzing daily pending reports and correction of status flow. Control overdue inventory. Liaising with depots daily for preparation of food grade and reefer containers. Coordinating the release of sale containers. Arranging of Off Hire containers. Prepare and follow up on empty evacuation plans. Processing of rail and road transport instructions and follow-up on deliveries. Capturing container repair estimates and following up for approval. Follow-up recoveries of container damage and cargo claims from the liable party. Processing of transport and depot invoices. Do container depot visits and audits. Liaising with transporters/TPT/TNPA and vendors. Processing of cargo dues. Monitoring can control container seals. Requirements: Matric and Maritime Qualification Essential NQF 5/6/7 (work experience will be considered if qualification lower) Valid drivers licence Attention to detail, strict adherence to rules and regulations Good Interpersonal skills Strong Computer skills and communication skills Planning and organizing skills Professional Candidate to deal with third parties at all levels Able to get to the office before 08h00 every day (punctual, self-disciplined) Experience in container depots, container transport,t and reefer containers will be of added advantage Individual needs to be accountable and responsible under minimum supervision Benefits: Provident fund Meal allowance during work Medical aid contribution
