Well established firm in Gqeberha are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Qualified Attorney with expertise in litigation to join our dynamic legal team.
The ideal candidate will handle complex legal disputes, provide strategic advice to clients, and represent them in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation.
This role demands strong analytical abilities, exceptional advocacy skills, and a client-focused mindsetKey Responsibilities:Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload of litigation matters from inception to resolution, including commercial, civil, or other specialized litigation areasClient Representation: Advocate for clients in court proceedings, arbitration, and mediation, ensuring the best possible outcomesLegal Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research to provide sound advice and develop case strategiesDrafting & Negotiation: Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and settlement agreements.
Negotiate effectively on behalf of clientsClient Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide updates, manage expectations, and offer guidance throughout the litigation processCompliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards, minimizing risks for clients and the firmCollaboration: Work closely with colleagues across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal servicesQualifications & Skills:Education: Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; completion of Legal Practice Course (LPC) or equivalent qualificationLicensure: Must be a Qualified Attorney licensed to practiceExperience: A minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience in litigation, with a proven track record of handling complex casesTechnical Skills: Proficiency in legal research tools and case management softwareAdvocacy Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to persuasively present arguments in courtAnalytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailInterpersonal Skills: Ability to build trust and rapport with clients, colleagues and court officialsTime Management: Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentShould you wish to apply please submit your CV through for consideration.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
