Legal and Compliance Officer This is a brand new opportunity for a Legal & Compliance Officer to join an international organisation focussed on IT recruitment internationally. This is a role that will offer you the chance to work autonomously. The ideal candidate will speak as well as fluent English, Italian or Spanish.
This business has strong growth plans and as a result are looking for an independent individual to work in a standalone capacity as well as someone who will take initiative.
This role will see you take control of:
·Internal and external legal matters and compliance within the regulatory framework
·Ensuring activities and business undertaken in UK, Europe, USA and client markets across Europe are fully compliant and legally verified.
·Providing updates on all regulatory compliance matters both in the UK and Europe.

You will be responsible for:
•Keeping up to date with upcoming legal updates and making recommendations to Senior Management as applicable.
•Keeping up to date with HR documents, contracts.
•Managing and maintaining a suite of legal documents, including clients and candidates’ contract, employment contracts for our associates.
•Leading and owning all compliance activities ensuring alignment with local regulatory requirements for activities and businesses.
•Developing and implementing a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP), ensuring reviews are appropriately implemented and performed.
•Ensuring all compliance policies, procedures, systems and controls are up-to-date and effective.
•Maintaining all compliance documentation to ensure it is fit for purpose, accurate and up to date with all regulatory changes.
•Identifying and managing compliance training to ensure that staff are aware of their regulatory compliance obligations.
•Providing board level compliance reporting
- You will negotiate clients’ terms, candidates’ terms etc.
- You will review all legal documents and negotiate accordingly.
To be considered for the post you must be able to demonstrate:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Law
•At least 2 years of extensive experience working within a legal/compliance/risk environment.
•Excellent communication skills and ability to handle challenging situations at the highest stakeholder levels (up to Group CEO level) internally and with external bodies (e.g. Regulators)
•Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies
•Excellent understanding and knowledge of local regulations and international compliance practices
•Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
•Proactive, with the ability to generate ideas and think creatively with a solution-oriented approach
•Strong internal and external stakeholder & relationship management skills
