CORE PURPOSE OF JOBTo lecture at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conduct and publish research within the discipline of Industrial and Organisational Psychology, supervise postgraduate students, and deal with administrative work. The primary focus of this post will be to lecture Industrial and Organisational Psychology. KEY PERFORMANCE AREASFacilitate teaching and learning of Industrial and Organisational Psychology Conduct and publish research in accredited journalsSupervise postgraduate students (honours and masters)Co-ordinate postgraduate programmesProvide academic administrationWork closely with the other members of the Department of Industrial and Organisational Psychologyas well as the School of Industrial Psychology and Human ResourcesCORE COMPETENCIES Knowledge of theory and application in Industrial and Organisational PsychologyFacilitation of learning at under- and postgraduate levelsResearch (plan, conduct, publish and present findings at conferences)Supervision of postgraduate studentsAdministration and co-ordination of modules involving large numbers of studentsREQUIREMENTSIn order to be considered for appointment to the lecturing post, candidates must:Be in possession of a masters degree in Industrial/Organisational Psychology.Be professionally registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as an Industrial Psychologist.Preferably have experience in lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.Preferably have published journal articles in accredited journals and book chaptersPreferably have presented research findings at conferencesPreferably have a track record of successful research supervision of postgraduate students.Disclaimer:No applicant would be accepted after the closing date (Friday 31 July 2020).Nelson Mandela University reserves the right not to make an appointment.
