The IIE Varsity College, Pretoria Campus has a vacancy for a Lecturer: School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Lecturing

Deliver lectures on programmes (must lecture on an IIE qualification) across various modes of delivery where relevant.
Mark assessments and provide feedback to students.
May also be required to moderate assessment scripts within their subject fields across IIE sites.
Lecturer Development and Support

Assist in development and support processes for lecturers, including peer reviews, workshops, and consultations.
Student Development & Support

Lead and manage academic development and support for a specific programme and its students.
Monitor student success and implement support interventions as needed.
Research & Scholarship

Promote a culture of scholarship within their discipline and team.
Contribute to the institution's research output targets.
Competencies Required:

Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
Proactive work and self-management skills.
Proven effective teaching experience based on reflective practice.
Ability to manage relationships with managers and staff effectively.
Passion for customer service.
Experience with technology to enhance learning is an advantage.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Master's Degree in Communications or English.
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

At least 5 years of teaching and learning experience, preferably in an educational environment.
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday: 08:00 - 17:00
