Lead the delivery of environmental projects Building and leading a small team of Environmental Consultants to deliver profitably on client expectations Management of environmental specialist teams. Undertaking environmental application processes in terms of NEMA / NEMWA (EIA, BA, Amendment, WULA). Research and data interpretation Liaison with authorities and stakeholders, environmental specialists and sub consultants Conducting site assessments and undertake audits. Report writing (EIA, BA and Audit reports, EMPrs etc.) and reviewing reports of junior staff Building client relationships and progress reporting. Minimum of postgraduate Honours BSc degree in Environmental Studies or similar Masters degree an advantage Must be Pr Sci Nat and / or EAPASA registered, or at a minimum eligible for registration Min of 10 yrs post graduate technical experience in the environmental consulting sector Sound knowledge of environmental legislation and process requirements Strong skills in reporting, research, evaluation, interpretation and critical thinking Strong English written and verbal communication skills especially report writing (other languages an advantage) Experience in the following would be an advantage: Large scale multi-application EIAs / BAs Water Use Licence Applications Specialist skills Renewable energy, mining, waste or industrial projects Strong commercial skills and experience essential, including responsibility for project profitability, client satisfaction, marketing and business development and managing team performance Driven, and conscious about time, cost and quality. A leader and a self-starter Professional, disciplined and organised. Good attention to detail Mobility essential Willing and able to travel to sites throughout SA for short periods and into Africa where required. Drivers licence own vehicle are pre-requisites Experience delivering projects in Africa, an advantage
