The role of the External Account Manager – Evar is to maintain and grow the given Rectron client base and ensure that the sales process is managed from the initial enquiry through to delivery.You are required to have a full understanding and knowledge of Rectron's product and solution offerings.
You are responsible for driving run rate sales and building a managed pipeline with an understanding of upcoming project deals Rectron should be involved in.
It is important that you understand that you will be the face of Rectron, representing the company professionally, and driving our "Vision and Mission" statements in your daily business.The External Account Manager – Evar will manage Rectron's strategic partner base, requiring you to form a strong partnership with an Internal Account Manager to drive key strategies and meet Rectron's overachieving targets.Primary ObjectivesCustomer BaseManage the assigned customer base, build strong relationships, and drive key product lines.Assist with all customer enquiries as needed.Update contact details on the customer base and ERP system.Manage credit limits and cover where needed.Ensure accounts are current and queries are resolved.Sign up new customers meeting the criteria.Sales & Pipeline ManagementUnderstand the order process on Rectron's ERP system.Read customer requests carefully, ensuring quotes are done quickly and accurately.Achieve month-on-month growth in the partner base across all brands.Identify new markets and business opportunities, and grow existing customer relationships.Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline to meet monthly targets.Collaborate with the Product Management team to identify growth opportunities.Represent Rectron at trade exhibitions, events, and demonstrations.Complete the sales cycle successfully to meet targets.Query ManagementEnsure queries on orders are raised promptly with the correct departments and provide feedback to stakeholders.KnowledgeMaintain good knowledge of all Rectron products and solutions.Complete online and internal training as required.Share knowledge within the team using internal tools.Identify client markets and design tailored sales strategies.Gather market and customer information to feedback on future trends.CommunicationsCommunicate clearly and professionally internally and externally.Respond to quotes within the SLA timeframe.Proactively update resellers, especially during delays.Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders such as Product Managers, Warehouse, and Admin.Education / QualificationMinimum: Matric or higher education, preferably with a Sales or IT qualification.Skills & CompetenciesMicrosoft OfficeNegotiationEffective CommunicationProblem SolvingExperienceAt least 2 years' experience in an IT sales environment.Proficiency in Microsoft applications.Relevant brand knowledge and excellent communication skills.Strong business acumen and awareness of the business landscape.Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.Self-motivated and driven to exceed sales targets.
