Core purpose of the roleThe Key Accounts Manager is required to create and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers that result in the acquisition and growth of RAC share in the market and retention of customers as well as meet or exceed New Business Targets set for individuals.Key deliverables and outputsRevenue ManagementPlan approach to meet annual forecasts in line with the KPI's and business objectives/goals.Achieve and grow rate per day and billed days as per target for car rental.Assist Credit Control Department in collection of overdue payments in line with portfolio target set.Evaluate pricing to ensure that it meets the company's profitability targets and present to the customers.Grow revenue in line with business targets (for RAC).Identify new business opportunities via different channels i.e.
direct, Travel Management Company (TMC), website, cold calling tools, referrals, general media, Government Tender media as well as meet or exceed the individual targets set for New Business.Customer Management and AdministrationConduct timeous business reviews with all major customers and include Executives where relevant.Conduct timeous Car Rental renegotiations prior to rate expiry.Manage the existing client base based on customer satisfaction indicators (CSI) and targets.Manage and implement relevant partnerships/ corporate agreements.Responsible for onboarding, presenting and reporting to new customers.Plan and manage face-to-face customer meetings in line with call frequency standards.Update and inform all customers regarding all products available and functional processes.Identify and analyse lost accounts and plan approach for reacquisition.Manage Salesforce effectively in line with the sales requirements.Collate all necessary supporting documents for opening an account (credit facility) and submit to the finance department in line with processes and procedures.Collate information and create proposals in line with business standards.Attend to any customer queries or issues and escalate when necessary.Identify, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and future growth.ReportingPrepare and submit monthly board reports timeously.Prepare and submit weekly pipeline reports timeously.Generate and present monthly aged system reports.Collate data to assist the manager in preparing managerial reports for submission to EXCO.Internal and External StakeholdersThe role requires close engagement and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.Internal StakeholdersDirectors, Credit Control, Legal team, Tender team, Reservations and Replacement team.External StakeholdersCustomers, Suppliers.Academic QualificationsEssential:NQF Level 4 Qualification (Grade 12).Valid Driver's License.Advantageous:NQF Level 5/6/7 Qualification in Marketing/Communications or similar.Note: This role may require travel and may involve working overtime/after hours.Work ExperienceEssential:2-3 Years' Experience within the Sales environment.Advantageous:3+ Years Experience within the Car Rental industry.This job requires that the employee maintains the highest level of honesty and integrity as he/she will have access to company assets, cash handling, and confidential record storage areas.
