The role of the Junior Developer is to assist the Lead Developer and work together by developing and maintaining these systems in accordance with the business needs. Within the company there are a number of cloud-based systems, which need monthly maintenance.
Construct user guides and documentation
Provide end-user support
Troubleshoot programming, changes, errors and subsequent modifications, this will be in conjunction with the lead programmer
Support the team in all phases of the software development lifecycle including analysis, design, deliver functionality, testing and support.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a busy and demanding environment
Initiative to work independently, but also ability to accept and follow instructions
Effective interpersonal skills and relationship building skills
Essential / Special knowledge:
Knowledge of web-related technologies (HTML, XML, CSS, Java Script, JQuery, JSON, Ajax etc.)
Familiarity with web-based software design using IIS, SQL Server, T-SQL, Classic ASP or ASP.Net C# Experience of using SQL Server 2012 5 GCSEs or equivalent (NVQ2), including Mathematics and English.
A passion for IT and learning about new technologies.
Previous employment in a development environment
Experience of Management Information Systems
Experience with Classic ASP (VB Script)
Knowledge of relational database fundamentals, design and development ASP.NET MVC knowledge
Appropriate understanding of data protection and security
Understanding of user interface design and information architecture
