Key Responsibilities:Assist with the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for heavy mining and industrial equipment.Prepare and revise detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor or similar).Perform basic calculations and simulations to verify designs meet required standards and performance criteria.Collaborate with senior engineers and production teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and manufacturable.Participate in prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.Ensure all documentation is in line with company and client standards.Minimum Requirements:National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.02 years experience in a design engineering role (internships or P1/P2 experience also considered).Proficiency in 3D CAD software preferably Autodesk Inventor.Basic understanding of fabrication and machining processes.Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.Advantageous:Exposure to mining equipment, earthmoving machinery, or structural steel design.Experience with ERP systems and document control processes.This is the perfect stepping stone for a junior engineer whos ready to be mentored by industry experts while contributing to real-world, large-scale engineering projects.
