Our client situated in Killarney Gardens is seeking a junior maintenance Artisan to effectively run  and maintain the factory equipment proactively.
Key Responsibilities: Perform fault finding and ensure that all equipment is operational.
Perform preventative maintenance checks on equipment.
Perform building and facility infrastructure basic maintenance.
Electrical and mechanical fault reporting and maintenance to company standards.
Ensure regular inspection of all facility equipment.
Respond to emergency electrical, refrigeration and mechanical breakdowns.
Support maintenance manager in efficient response to internal customer demands.
Ensure work that is carried out is in according to Health and Safety regulations.
Ensure all job cards are correctly filled in and are signed off by internal customer.
Ensure that all spares are stored in a secure and access-controlled area.
Communicate with production on any issues relating to breakdowns within the production area.
Coordinate with production and other departments for feedback on the functionality of machinery and equipment.
Report all defects and damages to the Maintenance Manager timeously.
Comply with industry standards and safety regulations of working.
Complete all tasks as delegated by supervising authority.
Maintain all records of the repair and maintenance works conducted in a facility.
Assist with the renovation/remodelling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall, paints building structures.
Ensure that spares used are recorded to ensure there is an effective accountability for goods used.
Keep workshop clean and tidy.
Clean as you go.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Perform any other duties required by your designated departmental manager Required Competencies: Knowledge of tools and materials Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge Experience with mechanical and electrical fault-finding PLCs, motors, and drives  Basic numeracy skills  Good people and communication skills  Professional and good work ethic Proactive approach  Spares and stock Control Receive goods on behalf of the company Be involved in all installations and commissioning activities Minimum Requirements Grade 12/NQF level 3/N2-N4 Qualified junior millwright or Electrician that can do mechanical duties At least 1- 2 years manufacturing experience, specifically in the packaging or food & beverage environment Willingness to learn Computer literacy  Good administrative skills  Verbal and written communication skills Strong punctuality and attendance record Own vehicle and valid driver's license
