Junior Fundraising Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Fundraising Consultant to join our team.
In this role, you will support capital-raising efforts for SME clients by performing in-depth financial modeling, valuations, and risk analyses.
You will work alongside senior consultants, clients, and external stakeholders to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies.
Key Responsibilities Financial Modeling & Analysis Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for private companies, incorporating revenue projections, expense forecasts, and scenario analyses.
Perform sensitivity analyses to identify risks and opportunities.
Valuations & Due Diligence Assist in performing valuations of private companies, applying relevant methodologies (DCF, market multiples, etc.).
Participate in due diligence efforts, gathering and assessing financial data, market intelligence, and business information.
Risk Analysis Identify key risks associated with potential investments and fundraising activities.
Propose risk-mitigation strategies to guide investment decisions.
Investor Relations & Documentation Assist in creating high-quality pitch decks, investment memoranda, and other fundraising materials.
Support the coordination of investor meetings, Q&A sessions, and follow-ups.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial goals and capital requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (lawyers, investors, bankers) to streamline the fundraising process.
Requirements Qualifications & Experience Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification required .
Preferred: Additional certifications such as FMVA (Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), or related credential.
Demonstrated experience (internship or 1–2 years' work) in: Investment or consulting space (venture capital, private equity, or corporate finance).
Financial analysis or financial advisory roles.
Technical Skills & Competencies Financial Modeling: Proficiency in Google sheets, capable of building and interpreting complex models.
Valuation Techniques: Knowledge of discounted cash flow (DCF), market multiples, and other relevant valuation frameworks.
Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative, research, and analytical skills; ability to synthesize large amounts of data.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication for client-facing interactions and stakeholder presentations.
